At the plate, Millard South got a massive performance out of Brady Perich, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Perich is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braden Swaney, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Papillion-LaVista had just enough and edged out Lincoln Northeast 5-3 on Friday.
Brett Hoelscher looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Easton Schneider was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Thompson, who went 2-for-4 with one triple.
Papillion-LaVista was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln Northeast only posted a batting average of .286.
Papillion-LaVista has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Millard South, their victory bumped their record up to 23-9.
