Football Recap: Scotts Hill Lions vs. Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers
Scotts Hill unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 35-6 loss at the hands of the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Korbin Brown out in front who rushed for 104 yards and a pair of scores. Brown really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. Another passer making a difference was Braxton Howard, who threw for 182 yards and two TDs on only nine passes.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scotts Hill is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Perry County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, they will face off against Gleason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
