Recap: Robertsdale Golden Bears vs. Spanish Fort Toros
The Robertsdale Golden Bears were the 50-46 winner over the Spanish Fort Toros when they last played one another on January 9th, but their luck changed this time around. Robertsdale fell 65-54 to Spanish Fort on Tuesday.
When it comes to explaining why Robertsdale lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mallorie Rothe. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rothe has scored all season. Shaunte Sanders was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Robertsdale has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Spanish Fort, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robertsdale will take on Baldwin County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin County is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Spanish Fort, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McGill-Toolen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. McGill-Toolen is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
