The Bonney Lake Panthers will square off against the Olympia Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bonney Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
Bonney Lake took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Spanaway Lake get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the match before.
Aspyn Evanson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Bonney Lake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Olympia unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Graham-Kapowsin by a score of 3-2.
Like Bonney Lake, Olympia also got a great game from a two-way player: Ava Bautista. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Bautista has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Bautista wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Georgia Maurer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Olympia's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Bonney Lake, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Bonney Lake hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Olympia struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Bonney Lake came up short against Olympia in their previous matchup last Friday, falling 5-2. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
