Football Game Preview: King's Academy Lions vs. Glades Central Raiders + Official Tickets

King's Academy has won three straight games at home, while Glades Central has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Lions will host the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. Neither King's Academy nor Glades Central posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

King's Academy took a 34-point defeat the last time they faced off against Benjamin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions slipped by the Buccaneers 13-12 on Friday.

King's Academy found their leader in freshman Fletcher Hodges, who rushed for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries. Hodges got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 78 yards.

King's Academy's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Ardin Jeanty was especially locked on to Benjamin's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, Glades Central's game on Thursday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 14-13 to Sebring. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Although Glades Central took the loss, they still got scores from Juder Joseph and Algernod Crawford.

Glades Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Wade Antoine and Jaylin Bouie. Bouie is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Glades Central fell to 7-1. As for King's Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
