Volleyball Recap: Dwyer Panthers vs. King's Academy Lions

It was a proper cat-fight when Dwyer faced off against King's Academy on Thursday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Lions. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-17.

Bella Levitt paced Dwyer's offense, picking up seven kills. Levitt got some help from Victoria Addazio and her seven assists.

Alanis Molina was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, she posted five assists, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. Ava Maldonado also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Dwyer's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for King's Academy, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Dwyer and King's Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Panthers will square off against Centennial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (56 vs. 240). Meanwhile, King's Academy (ranked 29th) will meet Lake Worth Christian (ranked 283rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
