Basketball Recap: Prince of Peace Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Prince of Peace can now relate to. They were beaten by the Midland Classical Academy Knights 71-16 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1042nd, while the Knights are ranked 195th).

Addie Dunn was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 31 points and ten rebounds for Midland Classical Academy. That's the most points Dunn has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaleigh Sherrill, who went 6-for-11 on her way to 13 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Prince of Peace's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Midland Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 30-3.

Prince of Peace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Midland Classical Academy, they will square off against Lake Country Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Midland Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season.
