Basketball Recap: Jonathan Best and Jameson English Secure Win for Crestview

Southeast typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Crestview proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victor by a 67-46 margin over the Southeast Pirates. The win was familiar territory for the Rebels, who have now won three matches in a row.

Leading Crestview to victory were Jameson English and Jonathan Best. English went 9-for-18 to rack up 28 points and four steals, while Best went 8-for-12 on his way to 23 points. That's the most points Best has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tanner Guy, who earned eight points and six rebounds.

Crestview's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Southeast, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Looking ahead, Crestview will square off against South Range at 1:00 p.m. on February 22nd. One thing working in Crestview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Southeast, they will look to defend their home court on February 22nd against Tuslaw at 7:00 p.m.
