Volleyball Recap: Page Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Page had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Independence Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Page was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

Mazie Bushman paced Page's offense, picking up ten kills. Bushman got some help from Ellie Caldwell and her 21 assists. Caldwell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Page wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Siegel on the 21st. As for Independence, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Christ Presbyterian Academy on the 20th.
