Softball Recap: Wellington School Jaguars vs. Miller Falcons
Wellington School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They suffered a rough 25-1 loss at the hands of the Miller Falcons.
For Miller's part, Jayden Agriesti made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Agriesti has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Agriesti was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abby Keller, who went 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Madison Rutter was another key contributor, going 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI.
Wellington School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Miller, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Wellington School is on the road again on Thursday to play Berne Union at 5:15 p.m. As for Miller, they will challenge Grove City Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
