The Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors were the 42-38 winner over the Clarendon Hall Saints when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Andrew Jackson Academy took a 41-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints on Friday.

Despite the defeat, Andrew Jackson Academy saw an underclassman step up: McKinley Beard scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Beard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Andrew Jackson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Clarendon Hall, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Andrew Jackson Academy will head out on the road to take on the Golden Warrriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully John Paul II focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. Clarendon Hall will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Dorchester Academy is ranked 181st, while the Saints are ranked 162nd).
