Basketball Recap: South Iredell Comes Up Short

South Iredell lost against Cox Mill back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The South Iredell Vikings received a blow as they fell 50-36 to the Cox Mill Chargers. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Among those leading the charge was Rachel Betz, who posted 11 points and five assists. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (80%). Another player making a difference was Madison Alexander, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 12 points and six boards.

South Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Cox Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 10-14.

Coming up, South Iredell will head out to square off against Mooresville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cox Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
