It was a proper cat-fight when Paola challenged Fort Scott on Thursday. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Tigers 3-2. The three-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Paola's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Fort Scott, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
