Baseball Game Preview: Bellevue Redmen vs. Clyde Fliers

For the first time this season, Bellevue will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clyde Fliers at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Bellevue didn't have quite enough to beat Ross and fell 8-7. The Redmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Clyde narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lake 6-4.

Colt Flores looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brayden Olson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Flewelling, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Clyde's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Bellevue, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Bellevue might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Clyde in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Redmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
