Basketball Game Preview: Wisconsin Heights Vanguards vs. Cambridge Bluejays

The Wisconsin Heights Vanguards will venture away from home to face off against the Cambridge Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Monday, Wisconsin Heights took a blow against Belleville, falling 72-42. The Vanguards have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Cambridge waltzed into their contest on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They strolled past the Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 78-62. Given the Bluejays' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Cardinals are ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cambridge pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.8 points per game. As for Wisconsin Heights, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Wisconsin Heights was taken down by Cambridge 75-30 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Wisconsin Heights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
