Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Parkway Central Colts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20.

Leading Parkway Central to victory were Grant Klasing and Spencer Duvall. Klasing had five aces and four digs, while Duvall had 13 assists. Those five aces gave Klasing a new career-high.

St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Parkway Central, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-3-1.

St. Mary's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Howell on the 25th. As for Parkway Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against St. Dominic on the 25th.
