Soccer Recap: Holt Comes Up Short

Holt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to the Lincoln Golden Bears. While losing is never fun, Holt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Lincoln are ranked 49th).

Holt's loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 18-1-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Coming up, Holt will host Westminster School at Oak Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Westminster School at Oak Mountain will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Holt surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln, they will venture away from home to square off against Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Jacksonville's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
