Baseball Game Preview: Wolfson Wolfpack vs. Atlantic Coast Stingrays + Official Tickets

The Wolfson Wolfpack will take on the Atlantic Coast Stingrays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wolfson will be strutting in after a win while Atlantic Coast will be coming in after a defeat.

Wolfson lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Englewood, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Wolfpack were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Rams on Thursday. The Wolfpack's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Wolfson let Ryan Rhoden and Noah Barnett run wild. Rhoden went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Barnett got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Barnett has become a key player for Wolfson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-10 otherwise. Thomas Lynch was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Wolfson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2025.

University Christian hit Atlantic Coast with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Stingrays took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christians.

AJ Toledo made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI.

Wolfson's record is now 9-10. As for Atlantic Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wolfson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Atlantic Coast struggles in that department as they've averaged .440. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Wolfson suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Atlantic Coast when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Wolfpack avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
