Volleyball Preview: Fairfield Indians vs. Beavercreek Beavers
On Saturday Fairfield will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They will venture away from home to face off against the Beavercreek Beavers at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Fairfield earned a 3-1 win over Sycamore.
Fairfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-20.
Kendall Kupper was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 21 digs, two aces, and a kill.
She wasn't the only good server: Fairfield was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Beavercreek was able to grind out a solid victory over Springboro on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Beavers.
Fairfield has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Beavercreek, their record is now 12-7.
Everything went Fairfield's way against Beavercreek in their previous matchup back in October of 2023, as Fairfield made off with a 3-0 win.
