Softball Recap: California's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but California unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to the La Serna Lancers. The Condors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

California saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shirley Acevedo, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

California's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-7. As for La Serna, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. California will take on Whittier at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Condors are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for La Serna, they will challenge Gahr at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gladiators will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight.
