The Apache Junction Prospectors will challenge the Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Apache Junction and four for Santa Cruz Valley.

Apache Junction came up short against Globe on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Santa Cruz Valley lost 3-0 to Horizon Honors on Tuesday.

While Santa Cruz Valley was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Horizon Honors' winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-21.

Santa Cruz Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Apache Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Apache Junction beat Santa Cruz Valley 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Prospectors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
