Sumter County and Jordan are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2020, but likely not for long. The Sumter County Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Jordan Red Jackets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sumter County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.8 runs per game this season.

Sumter County took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Westover by a score of 10-7. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the match before.

Madison Shelton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

Sumter County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Jordan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
