Shady Acres Christian had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 77-71 victory over the Banff Bears on Thursday. The Mavericks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Banff still got an impressive performance from Jayden Oriedetu, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 boards. That was a full 33.8% of Banff's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Issac Sumpter, who earned eight points along with 19 rebounds and six assists.

Shady Acres Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for Banff, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Shady Acres Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Banff has also already played their next contest, a 66-61 defeat against Central Christian Academy on the 31st.
