Basketball Game Preview: Stamford Black Knights vs. Ludlowe Falcons

The Stamford Black Knights will face off against the Ludlowe Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Stamford is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Greenwich, who was ranked 11th at the time (Stamford was ranked sixth). Stamford lost 46-22 to Greenwich on Tuesday. The Black Knights' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Ludlowe has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 55-46 to Staples on Tuesday.

Ludlowe's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Stamford, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Stamford beat Ludlowe 41-34 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Stamford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ludlowe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
