Soccer Game Preview: North Central vs. Southridge

The North Central Wolfpack will challenge the Southridge Suns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Central will be strutting in after a win while Southridge will be coming in after a defeat.

If North Central beats Southridge with three goals on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Wolfpack came out on top against Shadle Park by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. That's two games straight that North Central have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Southridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Walla Walla. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Southridge couldn't quite close it out.

The victory made it two in a row for North Central and bumps their season record up to 9-7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matchups. As for Southridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

North Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Southridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Wolfpack have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Suns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
