Football Game Preview: Pequannock Golden Panthers vs. Morris Catholic Crusaders + Official Tickets

The Pequannock Golden Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Morris Catholic Crusaders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pequannock has given up an average of 34.8 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Pequannock and Hanover Park have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Golden Panthers were outmatched by the Hornets and fell 50-0. While losing is never fun, the Golden Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Hornets are ranked 81st).

Meanwhile, Morris Catholic got themselves on the board against Parsippany on Friday, but Parsippany never followed suit. They blew past the Redhawks 35-0. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Redhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Morris Catholic now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pequannock, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Pequannock against Morris Catholic when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
