Alisal is 9-1 against North Monterey County since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Condors at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Alisal 2.9, North Monterey County 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Alisal's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Greenfield with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, North Monterey County hadn't done well against San Lorenzo Valley recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Condors walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Cougars.

Greg Jimenez was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

North Monterey County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Alisal, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Alisal skirted past North Monterey County 8-7 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Condors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
