Baseball Recap: Scott Gets the Win

While Scott's win against Chapmanville Regional wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Skyhawks had just enough and edged out the Tigers 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Skyhawks in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Louden White and Ryan Neal made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, White pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Neal pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. At bat, White went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Neal went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ian Prince, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025.

Scott's record is now 13-6. As for Chapmanville Regional, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Looking ahead, Scott will square off against Point Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Big Blacks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Skyhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will challenge Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
