Softball Preview: Many Tigers vs. Pitkin Tigers
Many is 5-0 against Pitkin since April of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Many Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Pitkin Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, everything went Many's way against Evangel Christian Academy as Many made off with an 11-1 victory. 11 seems to be a good number for Many as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Leah Bourque was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Gunter, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Pitkin made sure to put some runs up on the board against Elizabeth on Thursday. Pitkin was the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Elizabeth.
Many pushed their record up to 14-11 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 12.3 runs. As for Pitkin, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
