Softball Recap: Kickapoo Takes a Loss

Kickapoo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 14-9 to the North Crawford Trojans. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 15-4.

Abi Wirtz and Haylee Peterson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wirtz got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Peterson went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kinzie Cade, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Kickapoo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for North Crawford, their win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-16.

As of now, neither Kickapoo nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
