Baseball Game Preview: Seven Lakes Spartans vs. Paetow Panthers

For the second straight game, Seven Lakes will face off against Paetow. The Spartans will host the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Seven Lakes is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Paetow just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 10-7 to the Panthers.

For Paetow's part, Diego Garcia tossed a big game, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Garcia a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, Adniel Quiles Torres and Yarel Delgado did most of the damage at the plate: Quiles Torres scored two runs, while Delgado scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Quiles Torres a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Matthew Scott, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Paetow has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Seven Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.
