Soccer Game Preview: Mansfield Summit vs. Cleburne

The Mansfield Summit Jaguars will face off against the Cleburne Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield Summit will be strutting in after a victory while Cleburne will be coming in after a defeat.

Mansfield Summit is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Jaguars who were credited with the victory on Friday. Mansfield Summit got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Mansfield Timberview's two.

Cleburne is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Everman on Friday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 5-2. The loss continues a trend for Cleburne in their meetings with Everman: they've now lost four in a row.

Nabor Santana wasn't going to let Everman walk away unscathed as he scored both of Cleburne's goals, bringing his season total up to 13 goals.

Cleburne's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-4. As for Mansfield Summit, their win bumped their record up to 4-8-3.
