Football Recap: La Joya Community Skates Past Kofa with Ease + How To Watch

After only ten points in their last match, La Joya Community made sure to put some points up on the board against Kofa on Friday. The Fighting Lobos breezed past the Kings to the tune of 64-27. The Fighting Lobos haven't had any issues with the Kings recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

A big part of La Joya Community's win came down to the chemistry between Ashton Audis and his top target Jayden Quick. Audis threw for 220 yards and three TDs while completing 76.5% of his passes while Quick picked up 130 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 130 receiving yards gave Quick a new career-high.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to La Joya Community's defense and their six sacks. Leading the way was Jacarre Simmons with three. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory got La Joya Community back to even at 1-1. As for Kofa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, La Joya Community will venture away from home to challenge Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kofa, they will host Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
