Volleyball Recap: Hercules Triumphs

Hercules saw some tournament action on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Patterson Tigers 2-1.

Patterson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jovani Jacob, who had six kills and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had six or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elijah Cepeda, who had ten digs.

Hercules' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Patterson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season.

Hercules has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Emerald on the 14th. As for Patterson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Newark Memorial on the 14th.
