Softball Recap: Benjamin Franklin Drops Highest Score of Season Against Bonnabel

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Benjamin Franklin). Everything went their way against the Bonnabel Bruins on Tuesday as they made off with a 23-7 victory. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bruins, too.

Benjamin Franklin got a massive performance out of Kellsey Albano, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Albano a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Davis, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Benjamin Franklin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .794. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Benjamin Franklin's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Bonnabel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benjamin Franklin will host Willow at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bonnabel, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Riverdale.
