Softball Game Preview: Germantown Red Devils vs. Memphis East Mustangs

The Germantown Red Devils will take on the Memphis East Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Germantown didn't have quite enough to beat Cordova and fell 7-6.

Meanwhile, Memphis East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 13-10 to Middle College.

Sophie Doss was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Raven Clark was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI.

Germantown's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Memphis East, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Germantown beat Memphis East 12-8 when the teams last played on Thursday. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
