Football Recap: Peddie Comes Up Short

Peddie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 19-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Germantown Academy Patriots. The Falcons lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 35-7 score last time.

Peddie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Germantown Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Peddie and Germantown Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings. The Falcons will square off against Lawrenceville School at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (190 vs. 44). Meanwhile, Germantown Academy (ranked 166th) will meet Malvern Prep (ranked second) at 12:00 p.m. on October 11.
