Basketball Recap: Bishop Kelly's Loss Ends 13-Game Winning Streak at Home

Bishop Kelly's game on Monday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Middleton Vikings an easy 50-26 win. The matchup marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Elsie Wyatt was her usual excellent self, going 5 of 10 on her way to 14 points and five steals for Middleton. What's more, Wyatt also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Zoey Blackwell was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Bishop Kelly's loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. As for Middleton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Bishop Kelly will welcome Nampa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Middleton, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Skyview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middleton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season.
