Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Ready Silver Knights vs. Worthington Kilbourne Wolves

The Bishop Ready Silver Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Bishop Ready turned things around against Bexley last Monday. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 32-20. The game marked the Silver Knights' most dominant win of the season so far.

Lia Wahl was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Wahl is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

While Worthington Kilbourne didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 44-33 victory over Olentangy Orange on Monday. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Pioneers are ranked 391st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Worthington Kilbourne has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Bishop Ready, their record now sits at 3-5.

Bishop Ready came up short against Worthington Kilbourne when the teams last played back in December of 2014, falling 44-31. Can Bishop Ready avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
