Softball Recap: Vanden Vikings vs. Wood Wildcats        
        
		
            
 Vanden stacked  a  tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They never let the Wood Wildcats onto the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Vanden.
  Isabella Cueva tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Maalia Cherry was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kiah Silva, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 On Wood's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Madisyn Farnham, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double.
 Vanden's win was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 12-4. As for Wood, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost six of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record  this season.
 Vanden will head out on the road to  square off against  Vacaville at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Wood, they will be playing at home against Armijo at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Wood is facing Armijo at the right time seeing as Armijo is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak.
