Holly Springs won the last time they faced Cary, and Amy Lissow did her part to make sure it happened again. The Holly Springs Golden Hawks walked away with a 52-42 victory over the Cary Imps on Friday thanks to Lissow, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. She has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

Lydia Thomas was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 10 points and seven boards. What's more, she also posted a 71% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Cary still got an impressive performance from Riley Garner, who went 5-for-7 on her way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kyndall Brewington, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Holly Springs' win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Cary, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Holly Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 52-51 defeat against Panther Creek on the 11th. As for Cary, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-34 loss against Apex Friendship on the 11th.
