Recap: Rushville Lions vs. Connersville Spartans
The Rushville Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Connersville. Rushville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Connersville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Rushville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Carly Senour, who scored ten points along with two steals. Leonie Boyer was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Rushville bumped their record down to 7-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Connersville, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-9.
Rushville will head out on the road to face off against Jennings County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Jennings County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games. As for Connersville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against East Central at 7:30 p.m.
