Volleyball Recap: Silverton Comes Up Short

Silverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Salem Saxons. While the Foxes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Saxons 25-21 in the first set.

Silverton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-23.

Logan Scott was the offensive standout of the game as he had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Silverton's loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

South Salem wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against West Salem on the 3rd. Hopefully Silverton payed attention to the Saxons' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Saxons at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
