Basketball Recap: Lac qui Parle Valley Takes a Loss

The Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles lost 63-42 to the Beresford Watchdogs on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 294th in Minnesota, while the Watchdogs are ranked 68th in South Dakota).

Lac qui Parle Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Beresford, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lac qui Parle Valley will welcome Minneota at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beresford, they will host Madison at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Beresford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Madison likes a good challenge.
