Ella Schuberg put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in April on Friday. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Schuberg's effort led Central Catholic over Bishop Foley and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Irish are a perfect 3-0 against the Ventures going back to April of 2024, a lead they'll look to extend.
