It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Madison ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Brookville Blue Devils. For the Mohawks, this counts as revenge for the 7-0 win the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Madison and bumps their season record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Brookville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
