Baseball Recap: Van Find Success

While Van's victory against Brownsboro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vandals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Bears on Tuesday. The Vandals haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Braiden Peyton was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Van's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-13-1. As for Brownsboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Van will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
