Volleyball Recap: Spruce Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Spruce kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Conrad Chargers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 21 in a row.

Spruce may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 11 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-11.

Conrad pushed their record up to 5-2-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Spruce and Conrad will both be playing North Garland the next time they take the court. The Chargers will head out to face the Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, while the Timberwolves will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
