Volleyball Game Preview: Akron Rams vs. Otis Bulldogs

Akron is 1-7 against Otis since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Rams will square off against the Bulldogs.

On Tuesday, Akron came up short against Wiggins and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 20-25, 25-18, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Otis entered their tilt with Loveland Classical on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Lions.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Otis who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 25-11, 24-26, 15-8.

Otis' victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Akron, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Akron might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Otis in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
