Volleyball Recap: Mountain Crest Takes a Loss

Mountain Crest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sky View Bobcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-14.

Langdyn Brown paced Mountain Crest's offense, picking up seven kills. Brown got some help from Breckan Jessup and his 22 assists. Finally, Logan Fisher kept Mountain Crest's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Mountain Crest's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Sky View, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mountain Crest is set to square off against their familiar foe Ridgeline at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sky View will challenge rival Logan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
